I'd say folk..

I'd say this is rather folk than rock, but considering how newgrounds music categories are divided, rock was the most fitting....

Anyway, I find this most pretty...soft sound and all...
Nice arranging, just fitting. Your voice souds good and fits well this genre, but watch out the pitch at 00:35, and some other times, your are slightly flat, but it's not so bad since you have to focus to notice it...

Overall good song, 5/5 9/10

This aside, I give you a huge congrats. You do know how to write good music, and it was a pleasure to hear this song.

The scenario you wrote just fits the music perfectly - or the other way around:
it does sound like you had it planned in your head.

Great use of time signatures there, it just flows by itself and is very enjoyable to listen to.

Overall, great stuff, nothing I didn't like, sooo...*applause*.

And to answer your question, even though they were all good, my personnal favourite part was 'Ingression'...I don't know why though, it just felt good...

It's nice to see that someone liked my track and it really inspires me to make more music.I really like to do some background scenarios for my songs to keep the listener entertained while they are listening my music, so they can use their imagination to keep the story alive if you know what i mean.

I agree with i think ingression is my favorite part too, i like them all though but ingression has that "something" that makes me close my eyes and stop whatever im doing and just keep listening.

...and relax, and floaty, and somehow New Age kinda thing...
But that's some good work; nice ambiant song indeed...
Great background, contributes well to the mood,
and nice poem; it relates good to the fluid and delicate feel of the song...

Two negative points:

-this high-pitched sound you use as a melody through the song is smoewhat annoying to my ears, due to its unstability, and disturbs the general feel of the song...

-it is not major, but you could use some bass to support the rest, as it sound just a little empty, but that could be my speakers that do not render fully...

Lots of interesting stuff in there,
it's indeed refreshing to have flute and toms in there,
it just adds this little something that makes it good...
The ostinato that starts 0:24 at first sounded a little cliché to my ears,
but it just well with the rest...

The main negative point I have to bring about is that, as a percussionnist,
I'm not so fond of the use you made of the timpanis,
I'm not sure it was the best instrument to fit in there...
But that might be a question of taste as well...

Besides that, the sound is good, the mix is good, and I like your title...

i see where u come from opinionating from a percussionist's point of view. i actually had a double take with them and removed them (and the toms as well) but in the end, i threw them back in. the timpani solo to me, was just too epic to leave out. like u said, its a matter of personal taste

the felling is kinda hard for a jazz song, but i like it though i'm more of a traditional jazz type...
lots of great ideas, but the melody seems deficient in some parts, still makes an excellent background...
just watch out, some parts of the drums are only in the right speaker while some others are only in the left; felt weird at some points...

would like to hear more like that...9/10

long because as i exportet it to mp 3 i left the reminder an i set the restart point of Fl 8 much behind the end of song and if its some bad grammar im sorry but im german

wow...great song...love the groove...plus your title just fits right...
the end end of the loop feels kinda weird when you pay attention to it...
try to find something to fix fluidity and it will be perfect...
